Interesting Things Noticed in avatar

Postby r3ssurectionfire » Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:10 pm

HEY GUYS :P

Just wondering if you guys might like to post anything here about anything unusual or cool you noticed in the Avatar Series. I noticed some of the other forums don't have this (or maybe I haven't looked hard enough). So post pictures, videos, anything!

THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR SPOILERS. If you wish to share spoilers with a person, PM them personally.

Thanks

....

I thought that the fact that Sparky Sparky Boom Man was defeated by a pebble was pretty hilarious...

I thought he was a bit of a Cyclops (X-Men) rip-off, but blowing yourself up because of a pebble?
Priceless.

also in the first episodes of avatar. aang just wears airtemple clothes while the southpole people wear thick winter jackets. why didn't they put him some clothes on? and why didn't he freeze to death while he was out there?

Well in fact if you ain't wet there's nothing to worry about.
If it's really, really cold then all moisture in the air condenses and freezes making the air verrrrry dry. In fact you could just walk around in your t-shirt dancing whilst drinking a margarita. As long as you wouldn't come in contact with water or anything like that you're perfectly fine...(and I believe they kinda tuned down the realism there for fun's sake. for example: sitting on penguins whilst sliding at high velocity over ice would probably result in a skinless bleeding penguin)

Maybe Airbenders are just more tolerant about low temperatures... ???

Your skinless bleeding penguin comment made me LOL. XD *snickers at it* HAHAH. Sorry. XDD I can just imagine that... poor penguins.

Oh. When Toph and Katara were in the wooden prison, I kept looking at the gold bands on Katara's arms. I don't think the kids would be able to buy real gold armlets, so wouldn't it have been steel or something metally that Toph could have used instead?? You can correct me on this if I'm getting elements wrong and shizzle... XD

i'm sure we'll see more of combustion man...the Gaang is using their running and hiding tactics again, and combustion man seems to be quite the tracker (and he looked pretty angry (as in completely not giving up) last time we saw him) so it's quite certain we can say their fight ain't over yet.

i didnt notice this myself but i was told that in ep 203 - return to omashu. that if you watch closely you will see a statue of ozai being built.

i noticed this after watching season 1 again that in ep 112 you see iroh redirecting lightning

i also noticed that in day of black son the northern water tribe or king bumi werent a part of the invasion. why wouldnt sokka include them in the invasion?

in ep 304 sokkas master, at the very end sokka gives toph some 'space earth'. she bends it and katara says something like 'how can it be earth if its from space?' maybe thats hinting that earth benders can bend all things thats in the earths crust and that. and water benders can bend o2 because water is h2o. thats a far off interpretation i know and i dont believe it by any means... but who knows, could happen

i cant think of anymore things ive noticed atm im sure ive noticed more i just cant think of them on the spot ill edit when i remember

I noticed that too. I think it was because of their location, mainly, but I'll have to look at the map again to back up what I'm saying. And perhaps the creators were saving people up for the finale. I mean, if you push in all the good stuff in the mid-season epic, then you won't be able to top it in the season finale, right? I'm so excited for it. I'm quite sure Bumi and the Northern Watertribe will be in it.

I looked at an old episode, where Azula hadn't been introduced yet. And it was about how Zuko was banished. And I noticed Azula sitting next to Iroh and grinning. I thought that was cool :D

I noticed that the art team that did the art and animation for episodes like "The Runaway" and "Day of the Black Sun: The Eclipse" is so much better than the artists for, say, "Western Air Temple" and "the Puppetmaster".

I mean, the other art team gave Katara a... funny nose.

Also, If Aang had attacked the Black Sun zeppelins from directly overhead, he would have been out of their field of fire.

King Bumi is being held prisoner at Omashu by the Fire Nation Colonies (And Mai's Family) while I think that the Northern Water Tribe was out of reach for Hakoda if he wanted to get back in taime for the invasion. Of course I was wondering if he couldn't go and get a group of Water benders seeing as he did manage to visit the Northen Air Temple...

And I also noticed a bit of difference between the Appa in DoBS and in Western Air Temple, He looked pretty cool in DoBS, I thought it was because of the armour (partly right) but when I saw Appa in Western Air temple (still with the armour) it didn't look as spectacular as in DoBS...

Something I find kind of wierd is that even though the gaang has been together for, i believe, none of them have had a Birthday (except for Roku and Sozin but that's irrelevent) So unless they all have their Birthdays at around the same time why haven't any of them become older?

i liek the way aangs outfit is designed so that if he falls, air catches in the pockets, he has like skirts on to catch air, and airbend. that was pretty cool if anyone else noticed it..
