Ever wondered what happens after Fire Lord Zuko declares "A new era of love and peace"? Let's play it out here, in Avatar: Post-War.

Storyline: The war has ended. Zuko is crowned the Fire Lord. Zuko has declared "A new era of love and peace." However what happens next? There are rebellions of former Fire Nation soldiers reeking havoc on the world. Fire Lord Zuko and the Gaang must work together to fight against these rebels. However, they need more help. They are enlisting teenagers from around the world to fight against these rebels so that true peace can come to the world. We must enlist quickly so that we may help squash the rebellions.

I will create a section in the character profiles where you can create your character profile. DO THAT BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING HERE!

Natzumi looked down at the letter she had received from her brother, Rozu, two months ago. The pain she felt after first reading it returned to her. She only wished that her brother hadn't joined the Rebellion. As she began packing her bags, she threw the letter into the fireplace and tried not to think about Rozu.

Fire Lord Zuko had called for the newly created "Peace Force" to arrive at the Fire Nation palace the next morning. She knew that Avatar Aang was going to be commander over the Peace Force, and since she was a fan of Aang, she was kind of excited. As she finished packing, she sipped on some Jasmine Tea until finally going to bed.

The next morning, she got up excited about meeting Aang and being in the presence of Fire Lord Zuko, but more importantly, she was excited about fighting for peace. She quickly fixed breakfast, ate it, grabbed her bag and headed out the door. She walked swiftly towards the palace that she had passed by everyday on her way to school, but this was the first time she was ever going inside. As she entered the palace gates, she saw that there were hundreds of other young people from around the world. There were fire benders, earth benders, and even water benders. All preparing to fight for peace.

[OOC--hmm... this looks like it could be really interesting. I've just got a few suggestions. In order to get players inovolved, the best thing for a GM [[game master--in this case, the person who started and plans to run the RP]] to do would be to figure out a way to introduce the other players.

For someone like the character I created, a simple introductory ineraction would be about all it would take.

just my thoughts on the matter.]

Natzumi walks around trying to look for a familiar face. So far there are none. Then again, she was from the capital city and went to school with some pretty snotty, rich kids who could care less about anything that didn't directly benefit themselves. So she decided to pick a group and try to make friends. So she walked up to a group of earthbenders.

"Hi, my name is Natzumi, how are you guys?"

"We're busy earthbending," said a rather tall earthbending girl in a very rude way.

Well, they aren't so friendly.

Natzumi then walked up to a group of fellow of fellow firebenders.

"Hi, I'm Natzumi, how are you guys?"

[works for me ^^]

among those to answer was a firebender. For the formal first meeting, she had dressed in her finest, and looked like a young noblewoman [see also--Sanaki's formal getup].

"Sanaki is my name," she answered, "Sanaki Tasha Foxx. I may look like the rich kid and play the part, but frankly, I don't give a damn.I do what I please, and hope that I can figure out where my folks and brothers disappeared to...

what brings you here?"

A small contingent of Fire Nation soldiers escorted three robed Dai Li into the palace. The three young men were silent, but there was constant communication between them, nonetheless. The Dai Li had perfected a complicated language that was conveyed solely through body-language and subtle hand signs, so the each one of the three knew what the others were thinking without any of them saying a single word.

One of them, the one in the middle, was noticeably younger than the other two, but he walked with the exact same balanced grace and poise as the older, slightly more experienced earthbenders. The young one, Raven, kept his face an impassive mask as he walked into the courtyard of the palace and saw the vast number of benders that had gathered here. Fire Lord Zuko must be serious about this to gather in this many young fighters. An interesting move, on his part, he thought, and conveyed his thoughts to the others. They were amused, but agreed.

"Wait here," one of their soldier escorts said and then turned and walked out of the courtyard, presumably to bring in more recruits from the docks or city gates. The three Dai Li folded their bare hands, bare to signify their peaceful intent here, behind their backs and stood in front of the wall, where each one of them could watch a third of the courtyard without turning his head about. None of them had thought about doing it that way, they just did it.

Izia worked the room, surveying the people and nations they were form. He kept a hand on the hilt of his rapier at all time and the other hand was occupied by the beverage he had been given. He was bored waiting for the talk to start, he didn't have much patience for this but since it was for Fire Lord Zuko he had a hint of excitement.

Izia decided to occupy the western wall, beside a small vase. He finished his drink and placed the glass down, the chatter of soldiers was irritating him. He flexed his fingers, sparking some lightning through his hand as he did. He leant against the wall and rolled his eyes, when was this thing going to start.

"Peace," replied Natzumi to Sanaki.

All of a sudden, everything went quiet as Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko made their appearance. Everyone started bowing down. Interestingly, Fire Lord Zuko and Avatar Aang bowed right back.

"Greetings," bellowed Fire Lord Zuko. "I'm not going to waste your time with a long speech. However, I want to say that I appreciate each of you coming and joining our cause. For this, you will reap a great reward." Zuko paused. "I know turn this over to your new General, Avatar Aang."

The crowd went wild and Aang bowed again. As Aang began to speak, the entire crowd fell completely silent. "Good morning. It is great to be here standing in front of you as your General. However, I don't actually have that much to say. You all have been assigned to a different unit according to bending type and level. There is the name of your commanding officer on the letter you received, as well as the quarters your unit is assigned to. You have 30 minutes to get into your quarters, unpack, and get ready for training." Aang paused while taking a deep breathe. "Dismissed."

The whole area exploded with chatter as people were trying to figure out where they needed to go.

Natzumi looked at her letter. It read:

Sanaki listened to the announcment without a word. She kept her cool and did not seem nervous or afraid. She seemed quite confident, exen as she listened to Natzumi.

"Say," she said, once all was said and done, "would you mind reading this to me?"
She held out her letter, which was unopened.

"I'd do it myself, obviously, but... well..."
she trailed off, going a slight shade of pink. To finish she simply waved her hand over her eyes. One look at them told an interesting truth about this young woman--she was blind.

"Sure," Natzumi replied to Sanaki trying not to embarrass her more than she already apparently was at the moment. "It says that you're in Q-32, like me, with Ky Dee Fao as your commander."

Natzumi was happy that she sort of knew someone that was going to be in her unit. "Follow me, I'll lead the way."

As they arrived at Q-32, she noticed that the units contained both males and females. She was a little uncomfortable by this. On the wall, was a posting of their bed assignments. She was even more uncomfortable when she found out that she was sharing a bunk bed with a male. He was going to be sleeping on the bottom bunk and she was going to be on the top bunk. Natzumi had never slept in the same room as another boy, let alone the same bunk bed.

She stood staring awkwardly at the list.

"that's nice to know," Sanaki smiled. "always good to have someone you know...
hopefully then I'll be able to get into some lighter stuff... this fancy getup just doesn't do after a long time in it."

a few minutes later though, Sanaki found herself in need of someone able to read, as she was unable to.

"hey," she whispered again, "think yo could help me find my name on here as well?"

[OOC--reading is the only thing Sanaki asks for help on. Add taht to the fact that she didn't tell people she was blind, and this is what happens. :3 ]

"Oh, right," said Natzumi, zoning back into reality. Natzumi looks at the list and tries to find Senaki's name. "It says that you are sleeping in bed 12, bottom bunk."

Natzumi left Sanaki to go drop her stuff off at her bunk. Her "bunk mate"'s stuff was already on the bed, but he was no where in site. She tossed her stuff to the top bunk and began to climb the ladder. As she sat on the bed, she could already tell, it wasn't as comfortable as the bed back home. She set her things out on the shelf. She pulled her pillow out of her bag and put it at the head of the bad. She pulled her blanket out stretching it across the bed. As she climbed down, she heard a very loud whistle.

Sanaki went to her bunk and sort of just tossed her things there. She wasn't too concerned with who her bunkmate was either. She just went with the flow of things.

For a girl dressed so lavishly, she didn't seem to have that snotty rich-kid look. perhaps she had just groomed herself for this occasion.

a few moments after she laid down, and was about to kick off her shoes, she heard a whistle, and jumped up. She assumed it was a summons of sorts.

[I'll join the q 32 squad aswell then, LOL]

Izia perked up as Lord Zuko was talking, the speech was short but it made Izia happy, he hadn't heard the fire lord speak for a year, Izia was fortuante enough to be part of the first group ,that weren't part of the rebellion, to hear the New fire lord's speech. He promised so many things that Izia admired but deep down he knew that if a change in power would happen he would follow the new fire lord like a lost puppy. He wasn't shallow, he just admired power and wanted to live in the now.

Izia recieved his letter, he was in Q-32 and his general was Fao Ky dee, someone which he only knew by name. He followed the mass of soldiers through the gates, collecting his bags on the way. He made his way to the sleeping quarters, his bunk was bed 13, he was bunking with another male soldier. As he made squeezed down the small aisle between the beds he came to his, he was on the bottom which meant he could easily sling his bag onto it. He sat on the edge of the bed, with one finger he produced a small flame. He always played with his bending when bored. A whistle caught his attention.

The three Dai Li offered perhaps the most shallow bows in the entire courtyard. Not shallow enough to be labeled as disrespectful, but just to show that they would not follow blindly. Both the Fire Lord and the Avatar gave very short speeches before dismissing the soldiers. They must be in a hurry, Raven thought as he was handed his orders. Q-32, Fao, Ky Dee.

Neither of the other Dai Li were assigned to his unit, so the three bowed to each other and then went their separate ways. Raven followed the streams of people until he came across the correct barracks. Glancing once more at his orders, he found that he was in bunk 12 on the top. Threading his way through the close pack of people, he made his way to his bunk, receiving several suspicious glances on his way. He really could not blame them because, after all, he was still wearing his formal Dai Li uniform which was quite intimidating in design and coloration. When he arrived at his assigned bunk, he unwound the long, narrow bag that had been wrapped around his chest and waist and then laid it out on his bed.

He removed his iconic hat and then slipped out of his uniform and laid it out on the bed, leaving him clothed in a sleeveless black shirt and straight black pants. He folded his uniform just-so, with great care and respect, and then slid it into his bag. Once he was satisfied with how that was arranged, he removed a scarlet vest, into which he slipped his arms and situated it on his shoulders.

Now that that was taken care of, he decided to inspect the rest of his unit, if it could be called that. From what he could tell, most of them were firebenders; unfortunate, but hardly surprising, really. After a few minutes of slipping through the crowd, someone standing near the door gave a sharp whistle. Raven's emerald eyes flashed slightly as he snapped his gaze in that direction. Apparently, they were supposed to gather.

During this time, Sanaki also wondered who her bunk mate was going to be. It did not take her long to find out, as an earthbender soon appeared. He seemed to stick to himself, much like Sanaki normally did [with the need to have things read to her being the exception].

the somewhat overdressed firebender didn't actually direct her next comment at him, but it was directly talking about him.
"so you're my bunk mate, then..." she said idly, but that was before the whistle.

"damn," Sanaki murmured. She had just laid down, and now had to get back up.

Ky Dee Fao made his way through the barracks. With the whistle around his neck. Everyone was standing next to their bunk waiting to hear to what he was going to say.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen," he said before taking a short pause. "It appears each of you were placed in my unit because of your bending abilities. We are going to be putting those abilities to the test. However, before that begins, I must take roll."

Ky Dee Fao went down the list taking roll and each person said, "Here!" when their name was called.

"Now, that's done, follow me!" Ky Dee Fao commanded.

Natzumi thought to herself: I wonder what he means by testing our abilities...

The unit followed him into the large open field that was behind the palace. There was a large balcony overlooking the field where Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko were standing and talking to several "important" officials.

"Now, from a straight horizontal line leaving about 5 feet in between you and your neighbor," Fao bellowed. "Alright, start warming up. Tests will begin in 15 minutes."

Natzumi started to stretch and doing breathing excercise. Then she started to do some very fundamental firebending moves, while the rest of her unit wamred up with her.

"how fun," Sanaki thought sarcastically to herself.
She let herself go through all the usual motions, seeming quite indifferent until they lined up.

for her training, Sanaki simply closed her eyes and took deep breaths. She was meditating, clearing her mind.
as a prodigy, it would be here where her powers would shine. She wondered how many people would even notice that she was blind...

especially because she 'saw' everything.

While Natzumi was warming up, she looked over and saw the Sanaki was right next to her.

"Hello again," Natzumi said with a huge smile, not remembering that Sakai was blind by the way she was bending.

"So I was wondering, but I never asked. What exactly happened to your family?" inquired Natzumi hoping she was not making Sanaki uncomfortable.

Sanaki noticed the upward curving of Nitsumi's mouth, even though she didn't turn her head.
"hello again," she said politely. "nice to sense a familiar face."

Sanaki's bending tactics were skilled--she held a certain grace in her moves that often led people to doubt she was telling the truth when she said she was blind. It was true in fact that Sanaki was a prodigy, but she had her weaknesses--and she knew them. She was small, and therefore lacked power. She knew the techniques to some of the more powerful advanced moves, including the use of lightning. However, the amount of power required to use them far exceeded the amount of power young Sanaki had at this point in her life, and so she refrained from using these moves save in dire situations.

"So I was wondering, but I never asked. What exactly happened to your family?"
"I'm not entirely sure myself," Sanaki replied, and she seemed to be okay with this subject.
"we were at a gala of sorts when suddenly someone said we were under attack, and that they were taking people. They told me to hide, and so I did--it was a crate about half my height, so I sort of got stuffed in by some of my brothers, who did not want me getting hurt. They apparently thought they would be able to use physical strength to hold them off or something. I don't know.

anyways, they apparently eitehr gave themselves up, got killed or got taken. I personally think they gave themselves up. They would try to stay alive at all costs--to make sure their family was together. They apparently put their faith in me to find them, and so that is my ultimate goal...

...and I will go to whatever end to achieve it. My father, mother, and 6 older brothers are counting on me."

Sanaki was in fact the only daughter of the Master Faruko Foxx and Lady Karitsu Foxx. However, she was the 7th child, and all 6 of her older siblings were brothers. They had had a close bond with Sanaki that she had also had with them. Sanaki's family meant just about everything to her, which was why she was so fixed on her mission.

"so..." she asked, "how good do you think we'll do?"

"so..." she asked, "how good do you think we'll do?"

"Hopefully well," said Natzumi. Thoughts of her brother rushed into her mind as she thought about what Sanaki said about her family. She shook them off.

"I really do hope that you find your family," said Natzumi. "I'd do anything to have my family back together too."

Natzumi kept warming up doing some more advanced moves while trying to also focus on her breath control. Her dream was to learn really advanced firebending techniques.

"thanks," Sanaki replied, continuing her training--she was using a lot of intricate moves, but avoided using the more powerful ones.
"I guess I am a bit worried about them... I mean... 8 out of 9 of us are... well... missing..."

she shuddered slightly at that thought.
"and so I guess they're relying on me to find them..."

Raven followed the rest of his unit outside and into the training area. As they all formed into a long line, Raven covered his hands and feet with condensed rocks, the trade-mark "weapons" of the Dai Li.

He began to run through the most basic Hung Gar forms, moving slowly and carefully, insuring that he got every position completely correct before moving on to the next one. While he practiced, his eyes roamed up and down the line, watching the other benders very carefully. If these were the people that he would be spending the rest of his foreseeable future with, he figured that he had better get to know them and their fighting styles.

One pair in particular caught his eye, and one of them was the girl with whom he was sharing a bunk. They were chatting amiably as they practiced, though the subject of their conversation seemed to be unusually heavy for a first meeting. He watched his bunk-mate perform intricate firebending moves, things that he had been taught to defend against in worst case scenarios, and had to admit that the girl did know what she was about.

He found himself wondering when the captain was going to decide to start this "testing" and just what that would entail. Would they be sparring each other? Or perhaps destroying targets or even playing war games? There were so many choices and different methods for testing one's bending abilities.

Izia rolled his eyes at having to get 'tested' skills wise. He made his way out of the quarters and placed himself next to the Dai Li agent which had been assigned to Q-32. Izia started breathing exercises, stretching as he did so. He then held his palm out, creating a small flame and synchronizing his breathing so the flame grew as he inhaled and exhaled. His next exercise were simple firebending moves. A jet of fire from his fist, then his leg, then a barrel jump and another jet of fire.

He stood straight up again and looked about other people were doing the same. Iz simply sat down and continued 'meditating', what he was realy doing was people watching.

A messenger ran through forest toward Aiko. She ran her fingers quickly through her hair and tugged a little on her uniform to straighten it.
"Aiko Hansan?" asked the messenger boy.
She nodded.
"Admiral Hideo wants to see you immediately."
Aiko had been training with daggers in a small clearing near the camp. The messenger stared at her while she gathered her things, waiting for her to say she was ready. After a moment it dawned on him that he was gazing into quiet amber eyes, staring right back at him.
"Umm... are you ready?" asked the messenger awkwardly.
Aiko nodded and motioned with her hand.
The messenger took several running steps back toward the camp. Not hearing the girl, he looked back and saw she had stopped just behind him.
'Unnerving..' thought the messenger before he raced off again to find the admiral.

"Ah... Aiko!" said the admiral turning from where he had been studying a large map in his tent. He was a tall man, broad-shouldered with a brown beard. His eyes flicked across the map reading the confusing tangle of black and red arrows and crosses.
"We have a new mission for you." he said.
Aiko cocked her head in question.
"We need information from the Fire Nation palace."
Aiko stared. "That is dangerous." she said in a small voice yet easily heard.
The Admiral looked at the girl his voice lost any cheeriness and the corners of his mouth turned down.
"Aiko you will lead a group of three. Two will be seekers and you may also take one hunter. You will do so."
"Of course Admiral."
"Good.. We need information on the Avatar's movements and this so called 'Peace Force.'"he smiled at her again. "Feel free to go choose your companions but you leave tonight."
Aiko turned and left the tent.
This is dangerous, this isn't possible. But the admiral said. The seekers are fine but the hunter would be loud and clumsy. This may be only a information gathering mission but it is still in the Fire Nation palace.. This is dangerous, this isn't possible... Despite her calm exterior, Aiko's thoughts twirled in her mind. Fear was something she had learned to hide yet not submerge.
